About the job
An Outstanding secondary school in Camden is seeking to recruit graduates of Business or Economics to train with us, for a position which has arisen for January 2022. The position of Business and Economics Trainee Teacher is a two-year, salaried course. This opportunity would be best suited to an Economics or Business Studies graduate who can demonstrate sound, school-based, experience and supply excellent references.
As a trainee Business and Economics teacher on the Grad2Teach training programme, you get paid to train to be a qualified teacher in 1-2 years. Your training placement will see you working as a trainee Business and Economics teacher in one main school, developing your experience from support to Qualified Teacher Status. You will also be required to spend six weeks training and teaching at a contrasting school placement.
All of our training takes place during the half-term holidays. This means you can work at your school full-time, earn a full-time salary, and train to be a qualified teacher at the same time! You do not need prior school experience to train, but you will need:

Our Partner school serves a diverse and deprived area of North London. Behaviour standards have been a key area of focus in recent times and the SMT are proud of the huge improvements which have been made in this area. Pupil progression has been steadily improving and the school recently celebrated their best ever GCSE results in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. As the school moves on to the next step of its development plan, some staff have been promoted and there is now scope for growth in the majority of faculties.
Candidates with previous job titles and experience including; Teaching Graduate, Trainee Teacher, ITT, Initial Teacher Training, PGCE, Teacher Training, Primary Teacher Training, Secondary Teacher Training, Graduate Teacher, may also be considered.
Requirements
To be eligible for this training opportunity, you will need:
The right to work in the UK
Minimum C/Level 4 grade in GCSE Mathematics
Minimum C/Level 4 grade in GCSE English
Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree from a recognised university
