A lovely, two-form entry primary school in Maidstone, Kent, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is currently recruiting for a trainee teacher to start in January 2023. This is a full-time salaried teacher training role for graduates, preferably some classroom experience either assisting, covering, or teaching, and offers the unique opportunity to earn whilst you train to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

In the first year, you will work to complete Phase One of our Salaried Teacher Training Programme. This will increase your career prospects as you can gain insight into the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, develop your skills and prepare for Phase 2 of your training where you will earn while you work full-time to complete your Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

This Primary School is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and the leadership team places a strong focus on building on this rating in the future. To be eligible for this programme you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have determination, resilience and a patient, caring attitude.

  • Have a relevant, university degree with a minimum of a 2:2 classification.

  • Have the confidence and ability to lead the class.

  • Be able to demonstrate your resilience.

  • Be able to train across all key stages to broaden your skillset


In Training Phase 1, you will

  • Receive Grad2Teach-funded training while you work on our 39-week, school-based, salaried trainee programme

  • Gain invaluable insight into classroom management and teaching practice

  • Receive 24/7 support from our friendly team

  • Receive three Quality Assessment observations from one of our trainers in your employer school

  • Develop an understanding of what it means to be a great teacher
