About the job

‘If someone is going down the wrong road, he doesn’t need motivation to speed him up. What he needs is education to turn him around.’ - Jim Rohn

Wymondham College has partnered with us to look for graduates of any discipline to start training with them from September 2022. This role comes with free accommodation for the whole academic year, as well as meals during term-time. This is a secondary school-based role that offers the perfect start to your career in teaching, with plenty of time in your chosen department to learn about the curriculum and the requirements of a teacher. Your main tasks will be to offer pastoral support to the students in your care, including short weekend shifts (though you will have days off during the week), to work in and support your chosen department, and, eventually, to teach your chosen subject to secondary age students. If this position sounds like the opportunity for you, then apply now through Grad2Teach to take the first step to becoming a qualified educator through our Salaried Teacher Training programme.

Wymondham College offers a caring boarding community. They expect students and teachers to work hard, maintain high standards of personal presentation and behaviour, and demonstrate respect for others within the college. The college believes core values are essential to maintaining the fine establishment they have built, and those values are Pride, Passion, and Positivity. Similarly, the spiritual and cultural aspects of learning are an important part of the life of the school, to which all areas of the curriculum and school community contribute. Students are encouraged to reflect upon tolerance, specialised understanding, respect, and compassion, and to understand right and wrong.
