About the job
‘Acting is not about being someone different. It's finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.’ - Meryl Streep
We have partnered with a Secondary school in London who are looking for a Drama graduate to start training with them from September 2022. The ideal candidate would have significant experience in a U.K. classroom to be eligible for this fast-track position, though this will be assessed upon successful application. Your main tasks will consist of creating engaging and thought-provoking lessons, enabling your students to start asking their own questions and encouraging your students to start exploring the world of drama and art around them. If this position sounds great to you, then apply now through Grad2Teach to take the first step to an alternative route to a fulfilling career in teaching through our Salaried Teacher Training programme.
This is a fantastic school where endeavour and aspiration are central to everything they do. The staff form a close-knit and supportive team that works together to promote successful outcomes for all through the provision of a positive, safe, and vibrant learning environment. An integral facet of the school ethos is that success is a powerful motivator and that students’ achievements have positive implications for all areas of learning in terms of raised self-confidence, independence, and ambition. Similarly, the spiritual and cultural aspects of learning are an important part of the life of the school, to which all areas of the curriculum and school community contribute. Students are encouraged to reflect upon tolerance, specialised understanding, respect, and compassion, and to understand right and wrong.
