About the job
‘The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.’ –Pablo Picasso
We are looking for a graduate of any discipline to start training as a cover supervisor in one of our partner secondary schools in Northamptonshire. The position is due to commence in September 2022. Your main tasks will consist of covering lessons where the main teacher is absent, conveying the lesson in a way that is digestible to everyone, and encouraging the students to ask their own questions. If this position sounds good to you, then apply now through Grad2Teach to take the first step to become a qualified educator through our Salaried Teacher Training programme.
This is a school proud of its Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’, and it has maintained performance at that level for the last three inspections. Drawing its pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds, pupil progression beyond the national average is a key focus of every member of the team. The Head Teacher, the senior team and the governors lead the school outstandingly well, ensuring that both teaching and achievement are of the highest standard. The tracking of pupils’ learning and progress is accurate, consistent and rigorous. Staff satisfaction is central to the ethos of the school, and this is demonstrated by the very low rate of staff turnover and outstanding opportunities for professional development.
