About the job
An exciting opportunity to join an Outstanding Inner London School has arisen, as they seek to train a Food Technology Trainee Teacher through the Grad2Teach programme. The successful Food Technology Trainee Teacher will join our two-year programme, however, for trainees with experience of planning marking and assessing a Fast Track option may be available.
This is a friendly school where several previous trainees from Grad2Teach have taken full-time roles and have told us they are very happy. Ofsted rated the school as 'Good' on their last visit and the SMT are hopeful of achieving 'Outstanding' on the next visit. The school is in a highly diverse area of London and many children enter with below-average language skills, however, the staff are justifiably proud of their record of progression for these and all pupils at the school. There is a thriving families association at this school and the Head Teacher tells us that they provide invaluable support to both the curricular and extracurricular programs.
All of our training takes place during the half-term holidays. This means you can work at your school full-time, earn a full-time salary, and train to be a qualified teacher at the same time! You do not need prior school experience to train, but you will need:
• A can-do attitude
• A willingness to develop yourself
• A basic understanding of the UK education system
• A passion for helping and supporting young people
